What's a mach 5? I thought it was Mach 3 and the Fusion.

Thanks for putting up these videos. They are tremendously helpful. I have ordered some Derby's and some Feathers. Happy Shaving.

bokaba1- Pesonally I like Derby's or Israeli-made Personna's.

TheMajician- If it works for you stick with it. The 3 piece shown here is very poor quality; Merkur's are much better.

What is your favorite blade?

I have a three peice razor, just like the first one you showed in the video. Mine is a Merkur, would you reccomend I switch razors?

NC17Productions- Actually, even though the video doesn't show it well, the with-grain pass doesn't take off a whole lot unless I have just a little stubble to begin with. If I have any kind of beard goin' I do *two* with-grain passes.

volaju2071- If you've made a decent lather you shouldn't neeed a pre-shave oil but it won't be harmful to the safety razor.

First off, I love these videos. I just have a question.
I just got my first saftey razor today. Now I always use a pre-shave oil when wet shaving and it helps a LOT. But should I use a pre-shave oil when using a saftey razor? I use Anthony Logistics for Men pre-shave oil, so it's the heavier kind, still really good, just worried if it will hinder my shave in any way.
And if it helps, before I just used a simple Mach 5 razor. |
