Boz Scaggs:I saw this title as having an intimate as well as a broader theme, and struggled to find the words to express both at once. The song had been arranged, recorded and orchestrated to a working melody from an ad-libbed vocal - and I had procrastinated and put off for weeks delivering the final vocal because I hadn't found the words.

I am jus 20 years old, but i like very much music of love,I always thought Franky Vali sang this song, i was looking for the video and i found this.
Tell me if Vali also sang this song. I just didn't know Boz Scaggs but i really like his voice, maybe i was wrong and he was the one i have heard sing.

Just curious, does anyone know the story behind this song? There's a couple of the lyrics I'm hung up on that make me think it's a bit more than just a simple -- yet, wonderful -- love song.

Just saw him at the Blue Note in NYC (Nov.11th, 2008) - he did this song with his "new Standards". He is as good as he was 30 years ago. Still in love with his music and always will be. He works with very talented musicians and vocalists. This is a classic.

It is interesting to hear this version versus the 1980 edition also on youtube. He hasn't lost much in his voice in the 24 year interval. Boz is the MAN!
