J-sliced: Maybe because there was a time before the present. Some of us remember what happened in the Reagan years. Radio content was mandated to have some diversity--rock stations with wicked sweet jazz programs on Saturday, for example. From mid-80s to maybe '05, immediate options were very restricted. The age of vinyl wasn't bad, it was different. Restricted in some ways, but you seem either too coked up or too young to understand such. Lo ciento.
