This song, this song was simply THE MOMENT of Live Aid! I get tears every time I watch it. GOD! I remember this like it was just yesterday. DEEPLY DEEPLY MOVING!!! So much passion! So much hope! So much love! After watching this live on 13/7/85, I kind of knew they were destined to become the biggest band on the planet. U2 MADE 1985 for me!!! I got to see then twice that year. STUNNING!!!!!

As long as I'm recommending live songs, do a search for "u2 end world portland" and click on the first entry. I recommend it not for Bono's voice this time (although he is in fine form) but for the 2-3 minute mark with Edge, and the last minute or so with the whole band. Watch the whole thing though. I was there and it was the last concert of '05. Some people can wax nostalgic about how good U2 "used" to be, but I'll gladly take the present day version.
