Shaolin is like the everflowing constructs of awareness... it flows like the tao.

In the eyes of the Masters that tweak them, they are being improved... I'm not Shaolin Master, so I don't really think I could judge. :P

oh that kinda sucks.... but it is a good thing that the forms are being tweaked??
i mean not deformed like wushu, but little changes in i.e the hand movements and such. But are they improved??
MathewJoki (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Different Masters and different lineages tweak/have tweaked the various different forms to better suite what they believed to be the most effective/stylistic/aesthetically pleasing/etc. After centuries of this, there are a LOT of variations on a single form -- the original method most likely lost to in the evolution of the millenia-old art.
Or at least that's my understanding of it...
ZeroDavids7 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
but why do they look so differently, even though they have the same name and are traditional??
raven1234 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Shaolin has a really long history. I guess they created different forms.
