What a pleasure to hear Tantum Ergo this was the very one sung by the school choir of which I was but one voice , it brings back fond memories of the ups and downs of school life clambering up to the choir stalls, not always willingly ,its a time remembered with affection. How we long for the return of latin to be used in the church, as it was then

Hermano me temo que no me has entendido, seguramente porque no me he sabido explicar. No defiendo que las misas (todas) se hagan en latín ni tampoco los cánticos. Lo que digo es que unas bellas tradiciones de siglos deben cuidarse y no olvidarse como ahora. Protegemos cualquier cosa del pasado pero despreciamos (no lo usamos nunca) p ej cánticos como éste o el Pange Lingua o no comprendemos el sentido de determinados ornamentos o rituales que desde luego no hace tanto todos apreciaban.

Muy bien dicho sí señor, esa sería la solución definitiva al problema de la falta de espiritualidad. Como la Santa Misa en latín no hay nada que se le iguale... ahí sí que está Jesucristo. Un saludo en Cristo Rey.

A ver cuando los católicos nos quitamos los complejos no-sé-de-qué y disfrutamos y fomentamos el conocimiento de nuestra excelsa liturgia, de los ornamentos, de la música, de nuestras jaculatorias..DEL LATÍN...Es de una belleza y una riqueza (más allá de nuestros sentimientos) conmovedora..

This brings back memories of my childhood as this is one of the first hymns I loved singing.Benediction on a Friday night with my friend.We loved it and we were only about 7 years old.
