I am not overpayed. My money is a weak 20 dollars /hr base. The other 12 comes purely from an incentive program that pays us by the case.
I assure you, I earn every penny.

You're overpaid. And rude.
godly04 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Low level? I'm betting I get payed far more than you do.
and I didn't have to be a scrawny, pastey skinned nerd to do it.

I like the "Ugh, you make me mad, i bitch slap you" way of thinking. and any nerd who disagrees with me can drool over my $32/hr
and lick my boots.
We're far from being replaced, human strength is a lost art, and its only going to increase in demand.
You want higher thinking?
Think of it this way, why build robots when with that kind of technology.. we could just enhance ourselves?
godly04 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
lol, I make a lot more money picking boxes than you do living at that computer, scrub ;p
I don't even think you realize what you're saying.

'There goes our jobs'? Can you support a family being an order picker anyways? This frees people from tasks like 'bring me that thing' and lets humanity focus on higher level thinking. Example: of all the creativity, testing, complex engineering and design needed to make a system like this. I say its good. Humans were not made to walk around warehouse shelves anyways. We are imaginative, we are creative.

funny how this kind of robots make most of the low level workers obsolete, which forces people to work in a more mind related jobs, a few of which make the robots evolve even more, and thus making a bit higher level workers obsolete... soon we'll have entire factories made just out of robots!

There already are similar robots working in shipment, where robots control trucks and cranes, so it's not such a bad Idea...

This is amazing, these robots can have my warehouse job.
