You can use a clean out collar on the bottom of the cell also just screw in the clean out cap in UPSIDE DOWN. It will make a nice sturdy and flat bottom for your containers, or use a rubber pressure cap with a stainless hose clamp.

One question
between every 2 contacts to supply power, there are 5 steel plates. What is their potential, I mean, what are they connected to? do you use neutral plates?

Is the piping heat proof ?
At what temp will the water be?

A long cable (zip) tie snugged up around the pipe at one mark will almost go perfect for a mark too and you can check the measurment and adjust then use the tie like you did as pencil or marker guide. Take the tie off and cut. You can get unlockable long ties as well and reuse them. When I do PVC for sewer I have a wood V I use and put my 7" saw at the mark and once into the pipe I simply spin. Rare to get an odd cut.

There are two SCH40 types, one is solid and one is foam core. Get the heavier and harder solid, not the foam core. Foam core is great for drains, terrible for containment of a hot cell. ABS foam core does work though but it's good to like 180 degrees where PVC is 150 or 130 for foam core.
Zero - Lowes sells 24" lengths also. Good way to cut is mark first. Find something that cradles or V's the pipe and has a fixed stop then hold a pencil in place and turn while making a mark. Should be square

I knew they cut wood panels for free. Didn't know about the pipe. Thanks for the tip!

Home depot has a pipe cutting machine, they do it free and gives a perfect straight line cut, or use a 6" ABS pipe cutter wheel.

It that schedule 40 PVC? I went to Lowes today to buy my setup but I would like to verify that you used schedule 40 for the body.
Thanks
