I haven't had that problem...
I only have 4500km on my scooter though, so who knows if it will crop up in the future.

No grease goes in the CVT unless you have something strange I've never heard of.
I'm using the Dr. Pully Variator set which has sliding weights. I guess they are supposed to wear better and I like the feel of them better. Seems smoother.

2 questions. 1) I did not see any grease in the CVT where the rollers went. I recently pulled mine off and opened it and mine was full with grease. Which is correct? 2)What kind of rollers are you using and what is the difference in yours and the stock round ones? Thanks for the video!!!

With less weight in the variator there is less pressure forcing the belt outword. The result is you have to achieve a higher RPM before you get the same gear ratio. If you mess with the Contra spring and weights you can try to keep your motor in a certain RPM range throughout as you speed up.

I guess they last about 5k miles or so with a good one....

Hello DekeLeft,
I think it might be a tight fit at 6'2" to be honest with you. I am between 5'10" and 5'11", and my helmet isn't very tall. Once I'm in it's ok, but I think an extra 3 or 4 inches would cause problems. When I first got it I used to hit my head sometimes getting on and off, never happens anymore. I guess it also depends on if your hight is in your legs or body. |
