Ranger, we must not underestimate the power of this system... indeed they have spoken "great things and have thought to change times and laws" Dan. 7:25... They have blasphemed the name of the Lord and made themselves gods on earth. This is a most dangerous system to be a part of! People need to wake up and it is our burden to help our dear brothers and sisters in Christ to realize the deception of this church.

Cclodfe, from 538 A.D until 1798 the Catholic Church possessed both religious and civil power. This went on for 1260 years! What this prophecy is indicated is that this will happen again, yes it doesn't have the civil power... YET! The US which has this power will give it to the RCC... this system which has been stripped of it's power since 1798 will not hesitate to use their new given strength to the maximum!

the beast is an empire, one which is the U.S.A and the vatican which is it's own nation. with great influence in the world. which christianity came from. what is really strange is the pope claims to be jesus hidden behind the veil in there own words. and they do claim to have the power of forgivness. and i agree with some that say don't try to come up with versions. cause god left it that way in the book not for us to make up things. only god truly knows.

There is no way the beast would be the catholic church. The world is not going to all worship the catholic church. The catholic church does not have the power to set up a one world govt. I agree with drkauffman that the beast is more likely to be an empire.

Not bad but the symbolisms are streched. The heads are representative of Governments the horns of leaders. We right now are in the 8th "beast" or system. The 666 is a number of man when correctly translated and you can't "buy or sell without it" there is already a 666 in every UPC it's in binary so we don't notice it. The 8th head/beast/system is the united nations because it's a one world gov. and I believe we're in the middle of the head wound now with the global economic colapse.

The Bible makes it clear that the anti-Christ will be Satan Himself disguised as Christ. He will look and act just like Christ. He will perform miracles in front of millions and everyone will hail him the redeemer. It will be the biggest deception in the history of the world. And many will believe it. Those who stand true to the warnings in the Bible about the anti-Christ will be persecuted.
