This demo is in no way wrong, and it shows

Are you from Chin Woo? I have some advise if okay to give. Practise Tan Tui with more whip, most im[portant to shoot out the back heel. Power from the heel, to the kneee, to the waist, to the shoulders, elbows then fist. Then once you have the snappiness down pat, then practise Jie Tan Tui.

"Tan Tui" real means "spring legs". But why don't they fight like Taekwondo? The reason behind is the accuracy of kicks. There is an old saying in Chinese Traditional Martial Art, "The hands are like door(to defend), only feets do attack." "Tan Tui" use a lot of hand techniques to "open" the enemy's gate( that means to break the defence)and after that they kick. It is to ensure the kicks won't miss or being caught by enemy's hands. Besides, this is only a demo, real "Tan Tui" kicks are powerful.

Sifu Brent Hamby is a san shou coach and champion with great lineage. If he's doing not at top speed, there's a reason- it's not because it's as fast as he go- he's an amazing fighter.

"Tan Tui" means "springing leg". Has this exercise helped in your kicks? I'm just wondering.
