Best believe, New Orleans will never be the same for those who live there and those who love the city! The city, not just the Quarters! And, it's not really a Race thing, it's a Social Economics thing! New Orleans is majority poor black American but, it's also a melting pot!!! With that said, instead, of criticizing one another, let's pull together and help the cause!

Oh please. You sound like you just want something to bitch about. We are all in the same boat here. Just because the guy wasn't politically correct. Give me a break Kanye West.

I live on the outskirts of New Orleans and everything is not fine. It didn't just get a bad haircut. Many Lives were taken and so many have not just lost their homes. Many lost everything that they worked their whole lives for.Yes, items can be rebought, but so many are just too old to start again. Crime is so bad, so many have gotten out of this tired run-down city and have found it better outside and don't want to come back.

Was ticked off about the "little bubble Uptown" comment. No one in NOLA has time to be in a "bubble" in ANY part of the city. "Red hat guy" is absurd; the city is not fine. Only "Uptown" and the French Quarter are fine. Most of NO is the same or worse today. What we have is a LOT more serious than a "bad haircut that will grow back out". Recovery is not going to just "happen". It will take work and unity from the entire city. Even those in "Uptown".

Are you from the gulf coast? I wonder if you are sitting someplace up north and get all your info from two minute blurbs on cnn. If so, how about if you come down here and have a look around. You can find plenty of people of the color of your choice that need help from texas to alabama and parts of florida. Some places are fine, but it's like the greenery that hides the twisted trees back in the woods along the I 10

"A bit more representation of the actual areas and people most affected" What is that supposed to mean? White people couldn't possibly have been affected because they weren't on cnn? Great. I'll go tell my neighbors their house didn't really get trashed becuase they're white and aren't in the lower ninth ward of NO.
