I've been playing for 3 years now and my range is not up to par. I've read about this but couldn't do it right... Thanks!
Also, I do this with a chopstick (no pun intended) Does that work? (is the aperture too big?)

have you ever heard of the "split a quarter" exercise? Basically you put a quarter between your lips, and press them together, as if trying to split the quarter... does this work? I've only heard about it from one teacher.
