Man I hate this bullshit.. Guys stop arguing over who's better. Nobody cares. They're both GODS at what they do. They play together not to try and be better than the other guy, they play together to put on a better show for you morons that are too uptight to just listen to this stuff and shut up. But no, you just babble on about how "He's better" "NO YOU NOOBCAKE HE'S BETTER!!" It's like kids fighting over a toy...

clapton is the best of those two by far. and if it isnt obvious then just look at clapton back in the cream days ;)

dude, u are the idiot here because i wasn't talking about his legacy. I was talking about the standard of playing. There are so many more better players out there than clapton but you guys are denying the fact that they are better because his "clapton" Idiot. LOL.

Mayer's solo was more tasteful only because his solo was more similar to Clapton's original solo. Mayer, like many guitarists, learned Clapton's original solo note for note or else Mayer's solo wouldn't sound like it did (a variation of Clapton's original). Clapton noticed Mayer's style and decided that he would change it up so that the audience wouldn't have to listen to the same stuff. Just the fact that they are playing the song is proof that Clapton's legacy isn't over, idiot.

Joshy756 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
you guys are just saying that there's no comparison because he's clapton.. If it was another random guy playing beside mayer you would say that he sucks big time.. Be honest.. you know im right..if he sucks just say he sucks cause its pretty obvious in this video
