Show up at their job on their break with 2 Starbucks. Ask if you can talk for a minute. Tell them what's on your mind: your fears that you might have failed them, your apology, and ask them if they think they could be a part of your future. Tell them you want their honest answer, because then, even if they don't want to be your sweetheart, at least you can be friends, with that level of honesty. Sometimes, words can be hard to say, but once said, they open up a deep river of communication.
