sandy denny was an overwhelming talent. from what I've read, this was one of her first [if not her first] compositions. Makes it even more amazing. She was the gold standard of folk rock singers / singer songwriters. Few can touch her.

I so love the feeling of nesting in for winter, with the bad weather forgotten outside and the awareness of season. "Before the winter fire, I have no thought of leaving." But all the versions I've heard are dragged out so slowly.
