As I say above, I wasn't striving for an accurate representation of an assassination, just something a bit sexy or stylish, if that's your kind of thing. If I was being accurate, the killer wouldn't be wearing what she's wearing, there'd be gloves, etc., etc., etc. Not meant to be real!

Would have been more realistic to hear the empty cases fall to the ground after the shots. Also, a heat shot from point blank range would have gone through the head completely with the appropriate blood spatter all over the back wall.

When I look at this video, yes, "toss" is one of the words I have in mind!
I'll defend the work of everyone involved, however. I was director, they did what I asked, if it's weak, then that's my fault.
It also bugs the hell out of me that I never storyboarded this. So many shots would have been so much better. Still, you have to learn somewhere, and this went on to inform and help the others, so...

Yeah, and one of them was to mention that the purpose of the movie seemed more to showcase them than to actually make sense.
But I see now that it was your first project, it was just kinda tossed together, etc etc, and on that regard, it's pretty decent. I've seen more experienced people do a lot worse.

Should also say that the article about this video on the RBG website explains a lot more about the clip. It even rationalises the swimsuit.
I don't like this clip. It's the worst thing I've ever done by some way, and yet has proved more popular than many others. Depressing as hell.

Well, you did mention her breasts twice in your original post...
One of the reasons I dislike this clip is that there *isn't* any story (at best it's a weak surprise about the "sister sent me" at the end). This (and Have You Seen...) were just done to do a few gun-girl moments/scenes. They *should* have been plotted and themed and character-arced, but they weren't. She's in the bath because it was a well lit room in an otherwise dark location (and we had no appreciable extra light). |
