Well, in the beginning NOFX were strongly hardcore punk. Then, in 1991 with El Hefe joining the band, their sound became more melodic and they started playing also ska-punk and pop-punk songs.
But the point is... they rocks! And most important, they have always refused to appear on MTV (which alone would be enough to prevent them from being labeled "bubblegum").
