30% of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's grants go towards health causes, like to fight the spread of disease. In 2001 the foundation gave $425,000,000 to the "vaccine fund." (And yeah, thats $425 MILLION)
Its unfortunate but theres a trade off for any action. You go into the bathroom and say, "i'll save a tree, and use the blow dryer." Chances are, oil or coal was burnt to power it. So you can waste energy or trees. Although i'll just shake the shit outta my hands until they're dry.

Looks like old Bill G. is going to run this foundation like he ran Microsoft. 5% actual work and 95% good PR and marketing.

If the charity is able to help millions even billions of people around the world, why does it matter where they get the money, is it not possible that companies, such as shell, also have concerns about the people of nigeria too? I think that if they can save the lives of millions of people suffering from polio or measels I don't care if they get some money to do this from oil companies

What do you mean by "his computers" ? Do you mean the PC in general ? They are not "his computers". Do you mean PC's that run Windows ? They are not "his computers" either, they just run his corporations software. Well ?

And why exactly do you say, "Without Bill Gates you probably would not be able to be on the internet" ? What information is your statement based upon ? I'm interested to know because Microsoft has not contributed anything at all to anyone's ability to "be on the internet" and in fact was a latecomer to the party.
