You know I have never seen the "scientific evidence" that gravity exists, I now there are many formulas that predict its effects and forces. I dont need a formula to prove to me that gravity exists. its not faith or spirituality that makes me believe in gravity. just experience. I beleive we live in a quantum universe, or holographic universe. If your belief is that Tarot is BS, well, that will be YOUR reality, and it will be true. the quantum universe is way beyond simple math.

Fact - there is not one single shred of credible scientific evidence to suggest that the reading of tarot can predict the future. If there was any truth in this claim then surely the tarot would be greatest phenomenon discovered by humankind! And, as such, should be subject to the most rigorous scientific scrutiny right now. Anyone can make up the pseudo spiritual bullshit that you believe in. Until I see any (credible) scientific evidence to support it, I will not believe a word.

I dont get all the "The cards were originally made for playing" comments as if that somehow makes Tarot less valid as a tool for devination. there are "oracle cards, runes, sticks, tea cups, its all very simple, establish meanings to certain symbols, once ingrained into your subconscous mind, you can use this as a tool to either peer into ones own mind for "ideas, feelings, thoughts etc" or as a tool.
gilgamesh1962 (August 27, 2008 at 12:31 am)
its not used really that way, example, if your driving down a road, and see a sign that indicates the road is closed up ahead to take detour, do you ignore the sign and drive through and over the washed out bridge? or do you take the detour? the cards are a reflection of your inner subconsscious thoughts, that may "warn" you of events that could happen, unless you take that detour. Now here is the kicker, if you make changes, and avoid something nasty, did the cards work or not?

It doesnt matter what they were used for "originally" whether it be stones, leaves, tea stains, anything that the observer uses and has to "interpret", is a conscious way for them to connect with their subconscious mind. there is a reason why in psychology tarot as well as Rorschach inkblots are used. if inkblots can be used by psychologist as a tool to peer inside the mind of a person, why cant a person use Tarot to peer inside themselfs?
gilgamesh1962 (August 27, 2008 at 12:01 am)
So its obvious you are ignorant to the fact that Tarot is accepted and used by some in psychology. there is way too little space to explain here. lets throw away the possibility that in quantum mechanics all things are connected including the cards. the fact is, that on a conscience level, the tarot reader is connecting with their subconscience, the way they interpret or "see" the cards is unique to that person.

Its not really bad if people read tarot cards. What's really wrong is the media corporations which are spreading lies about it and not telling people the whole truth about the cards. The cards were originally intended for a card game which is still played in some countries and the MSM should report the truth about this!
