Katrina was a natural disaster. The local and state government was vastly unprepared and unqualified to react. The Federal Government was not prepared for a State and Local Government to be so incompetent. The Feds tried to pick up the pieces at the last minute but it was too late. The Democrats do what politicians do and blame everything on their enemies, the Republicans. It worked because of the lack of critical thought people have when politics is involved. Mother nature is not a Republican.

Educate yourself. New Orleans survived the hurricane. It was the federal flood that destroyed the city. Do you know what is left after things sit in toxic flood waters for a month? Not much.
