It choked on its own over inflated sense of self importance. The producers, writers and even the actors laboured under the misapprehension that the concept could support something other than mindless fantasy and disposable fluff.

It sounds like you're forcing your opinions about the show on other people. But people have different tastes. Are you looking for an argument by bad mouthing the show through comments on a tribute video? 'Cause it seems that way.

The first couple of seasons were OK. After that it went downhill pretty fast.

You can't possibly be serious about this show's handling of mental issues? Not really serious? Again, you're giving it a significance it doesn't deserve. It's not a seminal show, by any means. If you want a show that deals with issues in an adult and relevant fashion then watch 'Six Feet Under', or 'The Sopranos', and shows of that ilk. I've got nothing against AB's fluff, but I do object to its smug and woefully exaggerated opinion of its own importance. It had delusions of grandeur |
