This song is really about how some people just get the short end of the stick just by luck. Others throw guys into the dirt, just because they love to trample that stands in thier way and rebels. Seeing a loved one come home to a 21 gun salute, in a coffin for all loved ones to see. How the media makes and bends the news, so theres only one side of the story. My classmates sung this at my school when my princapal took away our choice to sit at our lunch tables. We got em back in a week.

what you stated is actually what the song is about...he's not asking or telling people to wait. He's saying we're "still". We don't have enough power to change it yet. So for now we should wait and be patient. "it's not that we don't care, we just know that the pot ain't fair". I think you should go read the lyrics.

the message is so weak in this song. Why would you wait for the world to change. The fight is never fair but the situation isn't either... So if you want change then you should demand not sittin on yo ass waiting for change. Change isn't just gonna knock on your front door... If enough people protest than the government has to listen because people run the city especially the middle class.
