(lead guitar player of 33 years writing in) as incredible as i believe peart to be, or i wouldn't have looked him up in the first place, aren't some of you forgetting those little guys like, oh maybe, john bonham, or the freaky keith moon? is buddy rich the true drumming icon? (i ask that sincerely.) neil peart blows me away. van halen and lee are turds by comparison to me. have to say though, bonham was way better with less technology in his gear.

also i think steve harris should be recognized. amazing lyrics, bassist and overall one of the most innovative writers. rush is not too revolutionary and a giant leap from where they were at the time
