I am 15 years old and I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and by the time I could talk I was singing Johnny Cash songs and the sad thing is that the people my age have no idea who he is and if they do they only know the name not the man that he was. My mom taught me everything there was to know about this great man and I hope somday to pass that onto my kids because everyone needs a little Johnny in their lives

I think we've all lost something along the way, but in losing that something, we grow stronger and older, then we try the rest of our lives to regain that something in some way or try and find something to take it's place like the ones you hold dear. hang onto those people for they are a blessing

Kris' original version is much better. To me, the only country musicians that matter are Hank Williams and Kris Kristofferson. This is an awful version honestly. This song is supposed to be depressing, it just sounds like a boring country outtake. I've never understood what is so great about Johnny Cash. He has never done anything for me, though I'm also not big on country like I said before. Give me folk anyday.
