John McCain says "Speak softly but, carry a big stick" when it comes to foreign policy. So, that is why he said these things in public: Sang, "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" at a town hall. McCain called for the "annihilation of North Korea". McCain, before we finished in Afghanistan, said, "Next up, Baghdad." These are NOT examples of "speaking softly". These foolish public statements ultimately end up undermining our ability to fight the war on terrorism. Obama will change that!

yes but there are procedural ways for the minority to block the majority. for example, it takes 60 votes in the senate for something to pass, not just the majority. there's been a very slim majority of 1 or 2 the last 8 years by either party. and since the Democrats have been in power the last 2 years, it hasn't even been brought up.

Weren't the Repubs majority in 2005??

George W. Bush 's republican administration cannot deny their responsibility for this complete economic catastrophe. NOTICE THIS REPORT AIRED EARLY IN MARCH 2008. Lou Dobbs saw it coming AS A RESULT OF THE WRONG GWB ADMINISTRATION POLICIES (as he says in the video). GWB has been the president for the last 8 years (with 6 years of Congress control). He PASSED his Tax Cuts for the wealthier. He REDUCED the Capital Gains Tax. Republicans need to be MEN enough AND OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES!

There was no deregulation.

DEMOCRATS. Lou Dobbs is totally wrong. Bush tried 20 times since 2001 to get Congress to regulate fannie mae and freddie mac. John McCain co-sponsored Senate Bill S-190 which would've fixed all of this in 2005. Democrats blocked any regulation of any kind. So yes, Democrats, Democrats, DEMOCRATS!

When the the republicans are in trouble the first thing out of their mouths is democrats too, democrats too. Bull. Dereg. is the fundamental ideal behind the so called "free market" in witch republicans have worn like a crown for the last 25 years. Now everyone can see that philosophy go down like a sinking ship. To say dems too on deregulation is like saying that republicans have always fought against tax cuts. lol

Don't think the democrats didn't have something to do with this crisis.

Dobbs knows so little about the housing market, it's scary. You have lost all your objectivity, Lou. I could have guessed exactly what you were going to say about this. Silly, shallow liberal analysis.

Welcome to the real world of deregulation. Name me one aspect of deregulation that has benefited the American consumer other than cheaper prices. How the hell can you enjoy lower prices if you are losing your house, losing your job, the airline industry is a shambles and banking has become nothing more than a Ponzi scheme.
