Eh if I remember of the top of my head Tone Loc owes his success in the 80's to Van Halen and the Troggs. Tone was sued for using the the intro to "Jamie's Cryin" in his version of "Wild Thing." Some songs stand the test of time and some don't. This is one that passed the test.

Hendrix didnt do this song first, nor should he get credit for the song. The first group to do this song was Jordan Christopher and the Wild Ones. The Troggs get credit because they were the first ones to make it a hit. The person who should get credit for this song is a songwriter Chip Taylor.
