To see Krupa just freekin' WAIL on those skins after the cowbell queue is purely astounding.
Buddy Rich was bloody awesome and may have had more finesse, but Krupa had WAY more soul IMO.
Krupa was from the old-OLD school. King Oliver's drummer Baby Dodds was a huge influence on Krupa. |
