All you arm chair "critics" crack me up. of course everybody was there to see and hear what EXACTLY hendrix used everyday...because he always had the same sound on every song and every show. And of course none of it had to do with the amp or the man him self. it was entirely based on one certain fuzz pedal. Therefore we should all be able to sound just like him by buying the right fuzz pedal. COME ON.

Can someone please help me? I want a overdrive pedal and a fuzz pedal. I thought of the big muff but its too much fuzz and the guvnor but its too overdrive/distortion. Any reccomendations for me PLEASE?

The germanium transitors are tricky little bastardos. From what I've read and know, they crap out and you get a lot of bad ones in a bunch. I've even read of players keeping them in the frig?? The silicons are more reliable.

Roger Mayer was Jimi Hendrix's effects man, he tweaked the pedals depending on what jimi wanted or according to how he described the sound. |
