i won't take credit for this interpretation but, some guy wrote that it's about a guy going into a doctor's office to obtain prescription drugs to feed an addiction, which makes perfect sense when you listen to the lyrics cuz the doctor would probably try and console u, but you have a one track mind (peripheral on the package don't care to settle in time to feed the monster don't need another friend). perfect way to open the album given it's subject matter so yea, just expounding on your post

saw them in Boca Raton...bought a ticket the night of the show and walked right up to the stage...people there had no idea what they were about to witness...I DID AWSOME Never forget it.
