KN6PE interviews Cupertino OES director on K6BEN ATV

Jim KN6PE interviews Cupertino OES director Marsha Hovey KG6CYV at Cupertino Amateur Radio Emergency Services (CARES) Field Day site on June 28, 2008. This is over-the-air transmissions just like commercial broadcast television. Video was uplinked on 1255MHz and re-transmitted throughout south San Francisco Bay Area (Silicon Valley) on 421.25MHz which is same a cable (CATV) channel 57. Audio uplink was done using regular 2-way transmission on 145.510MHz (2meter simplex). Video transmissions were through the K6BEN amateur television (ATV) station repeater. CARES transmitted to K6BEN (about 10 miles away) using a VideoLynx Z23B (2 watts RF power) and a high gain loop yagi raised 30 feet to clear buildings. This reception was taped on a VCR located elsewhere in Silicon Valley (about 11 miles away), and edited for this clip to youtube.
